Finalized at the third meeting of the ministerial penal on October 16th 2012, the Group of Ministers has approved the Land Acquisition, Resettlement and Rehabilitation Bill (LARR). This now paves the way for the Bill to be introduced in the Parliament in the winter session. Introduced earlier in the Parliament in September 2011, the Bill has been renamed as “The Right to fair Compensation, Resettlement, Rehabilitation and Transparency in Land Acquisition bill. (RFCRRTLA).
